Ruhrpumpen (China) Co., Ltd. warmly welcomed Changzhou Deputy Mayor Hang Yong and guests during his April 2, 2021 visit to our China facility. Changzhou Deputy Mayor Hang Yong led a delegation from the Research Office of the Municipal Government, the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, and the People’s Bank of China Changzhou Branch. “Mike” Li Xiaoping, Managing Director of RuhrPumpen (China) Co., Ltd., was pleased to share with the successes Ruhrpumpen has seen in China with our distinguished visitors.

During the visit, Deputy Mayor Hang listened to the business growth, major projects, and key development strategies shared by RuhrPumpen (China) Co., Ltd. Ruhrpumpen expressed sincere thanks to the government for quickly vaccinating the company's employees as protection for COVID-19. Deputy Mayor Hang expressed admiration for the high-speed rate of growth RuhrPumpen (China) Co., Ltd. has achieved in only five years, emphasized Ruhrpumpen should continue to support the country’s 14th Five-Year Plan, make good use of various policies, and strive for various types of support funds. At the same time, Deputy Mayor Hang had an in-depth discussion with Managing Director Mike Li on the development of enterprise in the post-epidemic era, the research and judgment of Sino-U.S. and Sino-European relations and corporate responses, and the transformation and upgrading of the Ruhrpumpen Changzhou factory. He also thanked Ruhrpumpen for its contribution to the local economic development.

During the visit, accompanied by Managing Director Mike Li, Deputy Mayor Hang and his entourage visited the workshop to learn more about production technology, production processes, annual output, market sales, market demand, enterprise R&D and manufacturing, and international cooperation strategy. Managing Director Mike Li highlighted Ruhrpumpen’s molten salt pumping technology (which is used for the current world's largest solar thermal power generation project-NE1 – 700MW CSP + 250MW PV Hybrid project) and detailed the harsh operating environment of the high-temperature heat transfer oil pump’s characteristics, uses, materials, manufacturing process, and testing requirements. Deputy Mayor Hang closely inspected the actual pumping machinery in the factory that will serve in these applications. Deputy Mayor Hang was duly impressed and praised Ruhrpumpen's centrifugal pump manufacturing technology. He further inquired about the company's needs in terms of recruitment and funding, and emphasized the need to continue to succeed so that the group headquarters will further increase the investment in Changzhou via increasing development investment, accelerating technological transformation, and comprehensively shaping new development advantages.

Deputy Mayor Hang emphasized that the "14th Five-Year Plan" is key to increased growth which will allow Changzhou to develop further at an exponentially fast pace, and he encouraged Ruhrpumpen to continue to support it. The success of this plan will help attract new projects in the post-epidemic era. He stressed enterprises need to try their best to develop advanced manufacturing and strengthen innovation-driven development, and he is confident Ruhrpumpen China will be a strong part of China's industrial revitalization. All this will ensure Changzhou becomes a trillion-dollar city which will propel economic development to a new level.

Deputy Mayor Hang advised that all levels of government departments will publicize the science and technology policies issued by Changzhou city at the beginning of 2021 to accurately convey the policy core to enterprises. All levels and departments should carry forward the spirit of "Dian Xiao Er" and actively help enterprises apply for regional headquarters, talent recruitment, and other benefit policy to help enterprises grow bigger and stronger.
