Rolling bearings in a centrifugal pump play a fundamental role by supporting the shaft, locating loads, enabling rotation and reducing the friction of certain moving parts by replacing sliding friction with rolling friction.

While its purpose is simple, when a bearing fails, it can cause problems and even compromise the pump’s life. When these parts need to be replaced, improper dismounting/mounting techniques or incorrect tools can shorten their life expectancy.
